Our History

It all started in December 1998 by Internist & Nephrologist Dimitrios Plakias, MD, PhD. The aim was clear: To create a state-of-the-art facility that would provide quality service for every single patient. Being the very first Dialysis Unit in West Attica, staying true to our mission has been of utmost importance for everyone working in West Athens Clinic.

24 years later and with over 2000 patients having been taken care of in our Dialysis Unit, we “stand” with great pride next to each and every one of them.
The West Athens Clinic Dialysis Center was established with the aim of improving the quality of dialysis patients’ lives by fully meeting their needs in a state-of-the-art clinic.
The West Athens Clinic Dialysis Center, which is operating in Peristeri -Athens, aims to offer the utmost health services to kidney patients who are undergoing dialysis treatment and reside in the wider area of Athens or travel in Greece, combining holidays with dialysis.

West Athens Clinic with its facilities, equipment, and excellent medical and nursing staff, ensures that the patient is hospitalized in a comfortable and functional environment under special care treatment.

Dialysis Center
Dialysis Athens is an independent department of West Athens Clinic, an exciting new entry in the medical tourism sector, offering high-end dialysis services and state-of-the-art facilities in Athens.
The Dialysis Athens Unit Department of West Athens Clinic aims at an integrated approach to Nephrological Rehabilitation, whether it concerns patients with Chronic Renal Insufficiency who need an Artificial Kidney Service or the timely prevention and treatment of Nephrological Diseases.
