Orthodontics – Invisalign

STOMA dental clinic provides the Invisalign technique, in order to attain teeth straightening without using braces. Invisalign combines proven Orthodontics with 3D Computer Graphics Science. The whole procedure involves a set of specifically designed splints that have to be changed every 2 weeks. The patient wears the aligns on a 24 hours per day basis and removes them  during eating, drinking, brushing and flossing.

The procedure may require 14 to 30 or more sets of aligns depending on the special characteristics of each case. On average 20 sets of aligns seem to be effective enough.

The results are accurate and predictable from the initial stages due to the hi-end 3D technology used while the teeth movements can be visualized prior to the beginning of the treatment.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the modern way to replace missing or damaged teeth. The implant which is made of titanium, is fitted in the bone where the tooth’s root would normally be.

A crown can be placed on the base of implant in order to replace the missing tooth.

A dental implant can be used even just after the tooth extraction.

The initial procedure lasts around 15 minutes and is usually done under local anaesthetic.

It takes about 2-4 months for the implant to fully integrate with the bone of the jaw. In case the surgery involves sinus lift, bone grafting, bone regeneration, then the osseointegration period is increased.
